  • Minimize your consumption of heavily processed foods or ingredients such as white bread, white flour, and white sugar.
  • Increase your pure water intake. Always drink at least a half a gallon a day.
  • Consume more raw vegetables (especially dark green ones) and fruits.
  • Avoid the artificial sweeteners aspartame, saccharin and acesulfame potassium and never cook with these.
  • Never starve yourself because it slows your metabolism, making it harder for you to burn calories and bodyfat.

Supplements
There are hundreds of herbal formulas that may be useful in cleansing. Herbs can be helpful, enabling the liver and other tissues to release stored wastes. Be aware that some herbal formulas may cause a very harsh reaction. As with any herbal products, follow the label instructions carefully or contact the manufacturer if you have questions. To identify a good herbal cleansing supplement, look for formulas that contain a minimum of the following ingredients (per serving) to be effective:

Liver Cleanse (Supreme Liver) : 400mg N-Acetyl Cysteine, 400mg Milk Thistle Extract as well as Artichoke, Dandelion and Tumeric.
Green Cleanse (Green & Lean) : Barley grass (important to cleanse the blood via chlorophyll), Alfalfa, Senna or Cascara Sagrada, Peppermint, Aloe Vera and Chlorella.
Diuretic (SkinTyte): A minimum of 1500mg of Taraxacum, 500mg of Uva Ursi, Green Tea, Juniper berries, Parsley and Buchu leaf extract.

Note: It should also contain Vitamin B-6, Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium so that is does not cause electrolyte imbalance and cramping.

Cleansing with high quality supplements is the best way to begin any weight loss program and easily shed a few extra pounds. Consider this; practically everything you consume, food, beverages and supplements, is absorbed through your intestines. The intestinal tract acts as a filter and can excrete unwanted material before it enters the body.
